Panacea is located right on the coast, and in this area is one of the states busiest flats fishing destinations. Whether looking to work the grass flats, oyster beds or even in the marsh grass; this area has it all.
Panacea Saltwater Species
The flats and inshore here in Panacea are teeming with many species of gamefish. I will say the staple in the area, found all year, are redfish and sea trout. However, anglers can expect shots at other species such as black drum, spanish mackerel, cobia, sharks, jack crevalle, and many others - depending on the time of year.
Panacea Family Fishing Trips
If you want to fish with your family, the kids will definitely have a great time. Aside from being able to "battle" sea trout, or enjoy the acrobatics of a feisty ladyfish, this area is home to manatees, dolphin, and a very diverse bird population (including the rosette spoonbill). Your day on the water will be far from boring.
